TSB : Compressor Failure; System Contaminated

Details

If either of these situations exists, discharge system and remove compressor, receiver-drier (Chrysler Corp.) or accumulator (Ford Motor Co.) and "H" valve (Chrysler Corp.) or expansion tube (Ford Motor Co.). Inspect "H" valve screen or expansion tube for contaminants. Clean and replace as necessary. Flush entire system. Install a new compressor (if necessary) and a new receiver-drier or accumulator. New compressors are charged with proper amount of oil. If reinstalling old compressor, add 9 ounces (Chrysler Corp.) or 13 ounces (Ford Motor Co.) of new refrigeration oil through suction port.
