There is a risk of fatal injury due to electric and magnetic fields The high voltage system emits electric and magnetic fields. Fatal or serious bodily injuries are possible if active implants (for example, pacemaker, insulin pumps) start malfunctioning. -- Individuals with active implants cannot perform any procedures on high-voltage systems. WARNING: Ignoring the recommended procedures and measures can lead to serious injuries and/or death. 1. The Audi high-voltage technician (HVT) must be informed when a faulty or accident-damaged high-voltage vehicle is being delivered. 2. Follow the workshop procedure plan for high-voltage vehicles. For the workshop procedures of high-voltage vehicles. Refer to the appropriate Audi Dealer Portal or the appropriate Respective Importer. 3. Park and observe the vehicle involved in a collision outside in the quarantine space. The following applies at the same time: Do not park the vehicle near buildings. Park the vehicle on a surface that has been sealed for vehicles involved in a collision or place a drip tray under the vehicle where the lithium-ion high-voltage battery is located. Mark vehicles with Warning Sign - High Voltage :VAS6649 and secure the vehicle so that unauthorized persons cannot get access to the vehicle. Cover the vehicle with a waterproof tarp to protect the high-voltage battery if it is going to be exposed to outside weather conditions. 4. Perform the GFF test program for classifying the lithium-ion high-voltage battery. The GFF test program can be found on the diagnostic unit under: -- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. -- Select the Diagnostic mode and start the diagnosis. -- Select the Test plan tab. -- Select the Select individual test button and select the following tree structure consecutively: Diagnostic-capable systems 008C - Battery Regulation Control Module -J840 008C - Hybrid Battery Management - Functions 008C - High-Voltage Battery Classification 5. Observe the reporting requirements for vehicles involved in a collision. 6. Observe the reporting requirements for high-voltage components. 7. If further action for the lithium-ion high-voltage battery is necessary, the following applies: 7.1. Lithium-ion high-voltage battery remains in the vehicle. 7.2. Inform an Audi high-voltage expert. 7.3. Order a metal container for the lithium-ion high-voltage battery. 8. Observe the lithium-ion high-voltage battery for five days in the vehicle. Check the temperature of the lithium-ion high-voltage battery regularly, at least two times a day, using a temperature measurement device (for example Digital Thermometer :VAS6519 ) and temperature measurement strips. Inform the high-voltage expert of the lithium-ion high-voltage battery condition on a regular basis. 9. If the condition of the lithium-ion high-voltage battery does not stay constant (noticeable temperature), extend the quarantine five more days. Return to point 8. 10. When the condition of the lithium-ion high-voltage battery is constant (unnoticeable temperature), the following applies: 10.1. A high-voltage expert will come to your location. 10.2. The high-voltage expert accompanies the transport from the quarantine space to the work area in the workshop. 10.3. The high-voltage expert removes the lithium-ion high-voltage battery from the high-voltage vehicle. 10.4. The high-voltage expert/high-voltage technician will professionally package the lithium-ion high-voltage battery into the specified metal container. 10.5. Audi Service partner fills out the shipping documents.
