With ignition switch in the "OFF" position, disconnect wires from primary terminals of ignition coil to isolate it from the system. Set ohmmeter at x1 scale. Connect ohmmeter leads to 2 primary terminals. Reading should be .4-.6 ohm. If not, replace ignition coil.
