NOTE: This is a Special Tool Information bulletin. INFORMATION Porsche Cars North America, Inc. is offering an exchange/repair program for the new Porsche System Tester 2. In the event your unit becomes inoperative or damaged, please send the faulty device, together with all of the elements and accessories including the case (see the checklist below) to the address listed below. It is important to provide a detailed description of the fault and enclose it with the system tester. DO NOT send the CD-ROM drive if it is not faulty. Before you send your Porsche System Tester 2 in for repair, please check the following to determine if there is a defect with the unit. Has the battery been charged at least 24 hours before using the unit? Is the PCMCIA program module in the correct slot? Has the information been entered correctly for initializing the system tester? Have all connections and cables been checked for tightness? Have you cleared all the memory? Please call John Diakiakis at (702) 825-6993 prior to shipment of the PST2. Upon receipt of your faulty unit, Porsche Cars North America, Inc. will send a replacement unit as an exchange which your dealership will keep . When the repair is completed, we will bill your dealership for the cost of the repair. If the repair is covered by warranty, you will not be billed.
