TSB : Customer Declaration, Replacement Of Front Passenger Seat, Deactivation Of Automatic Child Seat Recognition, SBE (Seat Occupied Recognition), Side airbag, Seatbelt Warning Buzzer, Certification - OF91.00-P-1000-03AA
Details
Model All Due to an express customer request as of.............. the function of the side airbag, automatic child seat recognition (ACSR [AKSE]) and the seat occupied recognition (SBE) and the acoustic reminder to wear seat belts on the passenger-side have been deactivated. There is an increased risk of injury for occupants due to this measure. There may, in particular, be no activation of the side airbag, no automatic deactivation of the front passenger airbag, when the front passenger seat is not occupied, no deactivation of the front passenger airbag despite the use of an MB-child seat with transponder (automatic deactivation of the front passenger airbag) and no 2-stage deployment of the front passenger airbag as a consequence. Due to the lack of an acoustic reminder to wear seat belts there is the risk that the front passenger may forget to wear the seat belt. This is expressly pointed out to the customer who undertakes likewise to inform other users of the vehicle. The sign "Warning! This vehicle does not have automatic child seat recognition!" was mounted to the right-hand side of the armatures.
