TSB : Rear Cover: Disassembly

Details

Pry out rear cover seal. Remove snap ring and rear cover bearing. Remove lock, shaft and drive gear for mechanical speedometer. If necessary, use a 12-mm bolt screwed into radial seal to withdraw radial seal from rear cover housing. If necessary, remove plastic bushing and "O" ring for electronic speedometer.
