Publication date: 1997-11-14 Reference number: W97-010 FREE SCHEDULED MAINTENENCE REIMBURSEMENT PROCEDURE FREE SCHEDULED MAINTENENCE REIMBURSEMENT PROCEDURE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN Reference Number(s): W97-010, Date of Issue:  November 14, 1997 FREE SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE REIMBURSEMENT PROCEDURE Model(s): 1997 Land Rover Models Section: Warranty Applicable to: USA Bulletin Number: W97-010 Date: November 14, 1997 SERVICE INFORMATION In order to facilitate the claims submission procedure, commencing Monday, November 10, all scheduled maintenance claims may be submitted using the previously published free scheduled maintenance campaign codes: SL75, SL15, SL22, SL30, SL37 and SL45 (use option RR for Range Rover only). NOTE: Customers who purchased 1997 model year vehicles in November and December, 1996 received coupons redeemable for free scheduled maintenance at the 7,500 and 15,000 mile service intervals. The following special scheduled maintenance codes apply only to those 1997 vehicles sold in November and December, 1996: Discovery SJ7, SJ15; Defender SD75, SD15; Range Rover SP75, SP15. Using campaign codes for free scheduled maintenance will aid you in determining eligibility. If a vehicle is eligible for free scheduled maintenance, the open campaign codes will be listed in the service action section of the DCS Vehicle Warranty/Recall Search screen. See Service Bulletin W96-017 for instructions on using the DCS Vehicle Warranty/Recall Search screen. Beginning November 10, please submit all claims for free scheduled maintenance using claim type "M" with the appropriate service action code from the attached schedule. The credit generated will be equal to the amount corresponding to the service interval (across the top of the chart) and labor rate range (found in the left most column) on the schedule. BUSINESS BUILDER SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE SUPPLEMENT Regardless of whether or not a vehicle is eligible for free scheduled maintenance, you are entitled to claim for the Business Builder scheduled maintenance supplement as long as you are participating in the Business Builder program. The claim submission procedure for the $100 and $200 Business Builder scheduled maintenance supplement paid to shared facilities and Centers respectively will continue unchanged. "M" type claims should be submitted using the service action codes SM75, SM15, SM22, SM30, SM37 and SM45. NOTE: If you have not submitted claims for the Business Builder scheduled maintenance supplement on vehicles eligible for free scheduled maintenance, we will accept claims for the supplement on vehicles serviced during calendar year 1997, regardless of the age of the claim. However, all claims older than 180 days must be submitted prior to December 31, 1997. CLAIM SUBMISSION EXAMPLE A claim for a 15,000 mile free scheduled maintenance performed by a Retailer with an approved warranty labor rate of $62.50 should contain the following information: Claim Type: "M" Service Action Code: "SL15" Service Action Option: (Blank for Discovery - No option code necessary) Service Action Option: "RR" (Range Rover only) Based on the approved labor rate of $62.50/hour, this claim will generate a total credit of $71.88 for a Discovery and $115.84 for a Range Rover. An additional, separate claim for the Business Builder supplement should contain the following information: Claim Type: "M" Service Action Code: "SM 15" Service Action Option: (Blank - No option code necessary) The above claim will yield a credit of $100 for a shared facility and $200 for a Center, regardless of model.
