Details
Disconnect the fuel sender connector from the fuel sender. Connect a 3.4 watts, 12V test bulb to terminals 1 and 3 on the wire harness side connector. Turn the ignition switch to the ON, and then check that the bulb lights up and the fuel gauge needle moves to full. Fig 1: Checking Fuel Gauge Courtesy of KIA MOTORS AMERICA, INC.
