Details

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected. Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy: Applicable to NAS emissions level (all model years) Monitor runs when the particulate matter sensor has completed all of the phases. This requires driving the vehicle for approximately 20 minutes. When regeneration occurs sensor temperature will be ~785°C. View datalogger signal Particulate Matter Sensor Meander Temperature (0xD940). After the regeneration has occurred drive the vehicle for another 20 minutes in various driving conditions Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy: Applicable to Eu6-1/Eu6c emissions levels (15, 16 17 and 18 model years) The diagnostic will use the DPF pressure sensor io diagnose if the DPF has degraded. If the DPF pressure drops below a threshold for a period of time this DPF is determined as failed. Operational requirements needed to allow the monitor to be fully tested. Drive at steady 25mph (40kph) for 10 minutes. When conditions are met the diagnostic will complete. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment check for the presence of DTC Prioritized Checks to Perform: Applicable to NAS emissions level (all model years) Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check powertrain control module for related particulate matter sensor Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and refer to relevant DTC index. Correct these first and confirm the repair Replace the DPF assembly Replace the LP EGR cooler, only when diagnosed as failed On completion of replacing the DPF and LP EGR Cooler the following must be completed Check for air intake system leakage. Check for air intake system mechanical integrity (refer to the current service procedure) Check DPF mechanical integrity, damage to metal work Check for excessive tailpipe emissions (smoke, high HC) Turbocharger charger mechanical integrity Check fuel system integrity (low fuel pressure, fuel system leakage) Check for excessive oil consumption Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment complete 'Diesel particulate filter differential pressure sensor replacement' routine (0x405B_02) Contact Retailer Technical Support to feedback results of repair Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment update the powertrain control module to the latest level software Prioritized Checks to Perform: Applicable to Eu6-1/Eu6c emissions levels (15, 16 17 and 18 model years) Diagnosis of this DTC may require using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment check datalogger signals 0xD922 Particulate Filter Differential Pressure - Measured Check exhaust system for leakage, correct as required Check differential pressure sensor hose lines are not frozen Check differential pressure sensor hose lines are installed correctly Check differential pressure sensor hose lines for mechanical integrity Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the differential pressure sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion Check and install a new differential pressure sensor, only when diagnosed as failed Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment update the powertrain control module to the latest level software Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment complete 'Diesel particulate filter differential pressure sensor replacement' routine (0x405B_02)
