NOTE: The engine oil life and maintenance item(s) can also be independently reset with an appropriate scan tool. See ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT REMINDER RESET - PROCEDURE 20 . NOTE: The vehicle must be stopped to reset the Maintenance Minder. If a required service is done and the Maintenance Minder is not reset, or if the Maintenance Minder is reset without doing the service, the system will not show the proper maintenance timing. This can lead to serious mechanical problems because there will be no accurate record of when the required maintenance is needed. You can reset all maintenance items by batch, or you can select and reset each maintenance item individually on the display. The engine oil life and maintenance item(s) can be independently reset with the HDS. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode. Press the HOME button and select "Maintenance" application by pushing repeatedly the Audio Remote/Multi-Information Display switch. See Fig 1 . Press and hold the ENTER button more than 10 seconds, and then display will change to Maintenance mode. Select "Oil Life" by pushing the Audio Remote/Multi-Information Display switch and press and hold the ENTER button more than 10 seconds to show the reset mode. If you wish to reset all the maintenance items shown on the display, select "All Due Items" by pressing the Audio Remote/Multi-Information Display switch and press the ENTER button. If you reset each maintenance item individually, select an item (complete list of maintenance main item(s) and sub item(s)) you wish to reset by pressing the Audio Remote/Multi-Information Display switch and press the ENTER button. NOTE: If you are resetting the Maintenance Minder when the engine oil life is more than 15 %, make sure any maintenance item(s) requiring service are done before resetting the display. To cancel the reset mode, select "Cancel," then push the ENTER button. "Reset Completed" appears on the display and maintenance item code(s) will disappear. The engine oil life will reset to "100 %."
