Details
File In Section: 05 - Brakes Bulletin No.: 00-05-23-003 Date: May, 2000 TECHNICAL Subject: Front Disc Brake Squeal (Install New Front Disc Brake Pads) Models: 2000 Chevrolet and GMC G30 Vans Built Prior to May 2, 2000 Condition Some customers may comment about a squealing type noise coming from the front brakes during a light to moderate brake apply and appears to be more prevalent at high ambient temperatures. Cause The squealing noise may be the result of a "slip/stick" condition between the front brake pads and rotors that could cause a high frequency vibration. Refer to the Disc Brakes sub-section in the appropriate Service Manual for replacement procedures.
