TSB : RECIRCULATION Door Motor Fails In RECIRCULATION Position

Details

Turn ignition on. Place front blower switch to HI position. Disconnect recirculation door motor connector. If recirculation door remains in recirculation position, replace recirculation door motor. If recirculation door does not remain in recirculation position, go to next step. Disconnect A/C-heater control module connector C3. Using a self-powered test light connected to ground, probe terminal No. 4 (Dark Green wire). If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, replace A/C-heater control module. If vehicle is equipped with a 7.4L gasoline engine, go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with a 7.4L gasoline engine, locate and repair short to ground in Dark Green wire between A/C-heater control module and recirculation door motor. Disconnect auxiliary cooling fan A/C pressure switch and auxiliary cooling fan temperature switch. Remove auxiliary cooling fan relay. Using a self-powered test light connected to ground, probe Dark Green wire terminal of auxiliary cooling fan A/C pressure switch connector. If test light comes on, locate and repair short to ground in Dark Green wire. If test light does not come on, replace auxiliary cooling fan A/C pressure switch (low pressure cut-out switch).
