Changes have been made to the manufacturing process to provide quieter running output gears. Vehicles beginning with the following VIN's incorporate these revised parts: 2 Door -Part Number: JGlMR215XJK771366 4 Door -Part Number: JGlMR6154JK771368 Vehicles produced prior to the above VIN's should be serviced using P/N 96061778 - shaftset, output; during installation,the ring, output shaft seal - P/N 96053887 should also be replaced, both of these parts are available from GMSPO.
